THIRD TRIMESTER 27-40 WEEKS

In a previous blog we talked about the first and second trimesters we broke down the weeks the physiology and the symptoms. In this blog, we'll talk about the third trimester

THIRD TRIMESTER

During week number 28 the baby is already about one kilogram or two pounds and two ounces and it's about 37 centimeters in length the maternal symptoms include trouble sleeping shortness of breath more back pain and more false contractions.

During week number 29 the baby is more active than ever and you can feel more kicking and more head bumping, this creates a lot of stress on the mother's digestive tract and so we see more constipation and hemorrhoids there will also be back pain leg swelling and leg pain lightheadedness frequent urination and trouble sleeping, and also trouble sleeping more heartburn, swelling of the feet and shortness of breath.

During week number 31 we expect to see bristling of the nails more false contractions leakage of a small amount of milk from the breasts more shortness of breath more insomnia more frequent urination and back pain.

During week number 32 the baby starts flipping itself so that its head prepares itself for delivery you might feel stronger contractions and stronger fetal movement, but it will also spend a large amount of time sleeping the false contractions will get stronger and more frequent. There will be darkening of the nipples and the areola shortness of breath leakage of the small amount of milk from the breasts and heartburn.

During week number 33 there will be an increase in the general metabolism so the mother will feel more heat, more headaches, and forgetfulness. During week number 34 we will see of course more false contractions on and off blurry vision fatigue constipation and hemorrhoids and leg swelling

During week number 35 we expect to see urinary incontinence and urinary frequency constipation and hemorrhoids and back pain and including during week number 36 the baby is about 46 centimeters in length and the baby starts migrating into the lower pelvic area so you will have less abdominal discomfort and more pelvic discomfort and of course, because the baby is further away from the chest you will have less shortness of breath but the false contractions will increase.

During weeks 37 and 38 you will have more false contractions more nausea and sometimes vomiting heartburn and more stretch marks. We will face insomnia and trouble sleeping increasing vaginal discharge and swelling in the hands and feet after that the symptoms stay pretty much the same and we expect delivery at any point keep in mind the difference between false and true contractions is that false contractions are irregular weak contractions that occur at various times while true contractions are much stronger they are regular and they occur at a specific time apart so like three minutes apart five minutes apart and so on as you can see the symptoms of the first trimester are more focused on discomfort and more hormonal in nature.

While the second trimester symptoms are more mechanical because the growing baby is compressing several areas and we see some new but rather interesting symptoms in the third trimester which are not related to hormonal or mechanical in nature like blur revision.  Anyway that's all I have thank you guys so much for reading and I hope this helped you.
